Cinema has witnessed many a hero behind the wheel of a fantastic automobile, whether drawn from real life or a flamboyant fictional creation, and that car is often a vital part of the hero’s identity. However, the other side of the coin—the villains—have had their fair share of hot wheels! RIDE, the second title in the Lives of the Supervillains series, showcases of the darkest and most frightening examples of cars on screen: from the heavily weaponized roadsters of the Bond films to the mutant-like ferocity of Mad Max’s makeshift vehicles to the murderous classic car of Tarantino’s Death Proof… it’s an exploration of the darkness that lies under the hood. RIDE provides a look at daring and innovative automobile design that has resulted in vivid and iconic—and villainous— vehicles that have imprinted themselves on the minds of audiences everywhere. RIDE features automobiles from films such as: Mad Max, Death Proof, Fast and Furious, Die Another Day, Highwaymen, Christine, Jeepers Creepers, and Suicide Squad.
